We get a lot of questions about lube, especially which lube to use for more massive toys and fists. Everyone has their unique blend that can include Crisco, J-lube, XLube, essential oils, waxes, and emulsifiers. It gets slippery fast.
Depending on your toys, you may need to stay away from lubes made of certain materials.

What is XLube?
XLube is a premium water-based lubricant designed by people who love fisting for people who love fisting. Unlike other powdered lubes, XLube is made for anal play, and it's perfect for toys and fisting. It comes as a white powder. When added to water, it makes a very slippery long lasting water-based lube that has a lot of cushion. In other words, it's perfect for stretching you out.
What is XLube best used for?
XLube creates a very slippery and viscous solution that provides excellent lubrication as well as thick protective layer that comes in handy during play. Because of these properties, XLube is a good lube for toy play, fucking, fisting, and anything that requires a thick, long lasting lubricant. Because it is water-based, XLube is safe to use on silicone toys. Since it's also sugar-free you can mix a large batch (full sports bottle) without worrying about it spoiling quickly.
How do I reliably prepare XLube?
XLube is very simple to make. Just add a capful of powder to 500ml of clean water and shake it up. We don't recommend using a blender as the blades will cut the long strand molecules that make XLube work so well.
Can I add scents to my lube?
Yes, you can! If you want to add some pleasant fragrance in your play, try adding 2-3 drops of essential oil into your mix. Try sandalwood, jasmine, or bergamot. You may find the result pleasing for both you and your partner. Be sure to let your partner know if you've added anything to the lube to avoid an unintentional allergic reaction.
I finished, how do I clean this up?
Cleaning XLube is easy. You can toss any sheets or towels into the washing machine using regular detergent. Spills can be wiped up with a cloth. To clean your silicone toys, a light bleach solution will break down the XLube bonds, and you'll have fully sanitized toys! You can also use a light bleach solution to remove old lube from your mixing bottle.
I frequently run my toys and lube bottle in my dishwasher on the sanitize cycle. All our toys are made from platinum cured silicone so they can withstand heat up to 450 degrees fahrenheit.
A final word of advice, the right lube consistency and amount can significantly improve your play and make it safer, so don't skip on having good lube, and lots of it. When playing with others, it is a good idea for each person to have their own lube bottle to avoid passing STIs and to keep things hygienic.
