Dildo & Butt Plug Difficulty Guide

Find Your Level

To help you navigate your hole training journey, our toys are graded on difficulty to make it easier for you to find the right size for what you can handle. Every toy on this site is marked with a badge: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Expert, or Extreme. The badge is a guide, not a verdict. Bodies aren't standardized: some people take enormous width and stall on length, and plenty of experienced holes have a favourite toy three levels below where they'd expect.

What Is Hole Training?

Anal training is the practice of gradually conditioning a hole to take larger sizes over time using progressively bigger dildos and butt plugs. The same principles apply no matter which hole you're training: always warm up with something smaller before your main toy, use more lube than you think you need, reapply your lube throughout your session, and make sure to give yourself time to adapt between sessions rather than trying to leap levels in one night. It doesn’t matter if you're working up to a large dildo, your first anal plug, or building toward fisting - consistent, patient sessions are what builds capacity.

Start where you actually are, not where you want to be. The badge system on this site exists to support that process, giving you a clear ladder to climb at whatever pace your body sets. Nobody takes an Extreme level toy without a dedicated training practice at every level progression. Wherever you’re at, go slow and make sure to use a lot of lube.

How We Badge Things

Toy circumference is the main factor, specifically maximum circumference, because that's the number that decides whether a toy opens you up or gets stuck at the door.

Insertable length is the second: a deep anal dildo built to clear your second ring is a completely different proposition than something that stays shallow, so we take both factors into account.

Shape is where the nuance comes in. Every badge covers a real range of sizes, and two toys can share a circumference and still feel a full level apart depending on how they're designed. A long gradual tapered toy does half the work for you, a blunt head gives you nothing to ease in on, and a fat head on a slim shaft is a completely different night from a shaft that stays wide all the way down. When the silhouette makes a toy meaningfully harder or kinder than its measurements suggest, we badge it for how the toy behaves, not just how it measures. This is why a slim but brutally long dildo can be ranked higher than something fatter that tapers, and why a blunt butt plug can outrank a bigger one that slides right in.

Play Within Your Limits

Everything above is a map, not a mandate. Choose by what your body can actually handle, not by what a badge says you ought to manage. If a level below yours still feels incredible, that's a good night, not a failure. Go slowly, always. Use far more lube than you think you need, top it up before you think you need it, and stop the moment anything registers as pain rather than pressure. Pain isn't progress, it's the end of the session. The sluts who take the most are the sluts who took the longest getting there.

Find your level. Then take your time beating it.
